Captains on the Bridge:
The Star Trek CCG Tenth Anniversary Collection
In his recent Necessary Evil article View
From the Big Chair, Star Trek CCG designer Evan Lorentz detailed
five cards in the upcoming expansions that are designed to give your strategies
a boost for playing "matched pairs" of commanders and their ships
– those personnel with the "Commander" keyword and their
corresponding ships. From Captain on the Bridge, which allows you to play
a commander directly aboard his or her ship, to the point-scoring Deploy
the Fleet and Mission Accomplished, these new cards can enhance a deck built
around any affiliation.
And now, the Tenth Anniversary Collection will give you even more options
for your "captain on the bridge," with nine matched pairs of ships
and commanders for the Bajoran, Borg, Cardassian, Dominion, Federation,
Klingon, Romulan, and Non-aligned affiliations. From Jean-Luc Picard and
the U.S.S. Enterprise-D to Benjamin
Sisko, Shipwright (click the thumbnail above for a full-sized view)
and the Baraka,
there's a new commander and ship for everyone, offering Necessary Evil gameplay
tie-ins not only to commander enhancements, but also to other features such
as artifacts and point loss payments. All 18 exclusive premium cards are
foiled, and all are identified with the Tenth Anniversary logo. Watch the

list for more images over the next few weeks – we'll add another
pair each week.
Best of all? Each pair is free with a $10 purchase of Star Trek
CCG. Beginning around mid-April, one new commander/ship pair will become
available each week for nine weeks. When you purchase $10 (or €10)
worth of any Star Trek CCG Second Edition product from a participating
retailer, you'll get that week's commander and ship cards free, while supplies
last. Just ask your local Star Trek CCG retailer to contact their
distributor for more information about ordering their free Tenth Anniversary
Collection package of a counter card and 30 sets of promo cards, expected
to be available in late March or early April. (Though not all may be participating
in this promotion, you can check for Decipher Preferred Retailers in your
area here.
For our customers who don't have a participating retailer nearby, we'll
be offering the Tenth Anniversary Collection with several different $90
product packages at the online Decipher Store, beginning in May.)
