Star Trek CCG Turns 10 This Year!
Ten years already?? How time flies when you're having fun! And fun is what
we've had ever since Decipher launched its first Customizable Card Game
– Star Trek CCG – in November of 1994. With the tenth anniversary
of that momentous event upon us, we feel like celebrating! We've got special
promotions and web content planned throughout 2004 to commemorate the game's
launch:
 What
are your favorite Star Trek CCG cards? Tell us in our upcoming
survey to determine the 100 most popular of all time (from both First
and Second Editions), which will appear on a special commemorative poster.- A special Tenth Anniversary Collection promotion will launch in the
spring of 2004. Each week for nine weeks, you will be able to get two
exclusive foil cards – a ship and its captain – with a $10 purchase
of any Star Trek CCG product from a participating retailer. Collect
Jean-Luc Picard and the Enterprise-D plus eight more ship/captain pairs
for great gameplay tie-ins with Necessary Evil! Click the thumbnail at
the right for a preview of one of these ships, the Baraka.
- Each of the 18 foils in the Tenth Anniversary Collection, as well as
the 18-card foil subset of Necessary Evil rares, will be identified with
the Tenth Anniversary logo as seen in the upper right corner of the Baraka.
- Plus we'll have online contests; interviews with members of the Star
Trek CCG community, including Decipher CEO Warren Holland; and website
walks down memory lane with photos, reminiscences, and trivia from ten
years and 18 expansions of the game you love.
- And of course, a special
message board just for Tenth Anniversary talk!
