Why Are Some of My Necessary Evil Rares Shiny?
When you start eagerly ripping open your Necessary Evil boosters late in
February, you'll want to take a close look at the rare card – because
some of them will be shinier than usual! A subset of 18 rare cards will
be produced in diffraction foil versions (as well as regular unfoiled versions)
and randomly inserted in approximately one in every seven packs in place
of the "normal" rare card. The 18 foils will all be of the same
level of rarity.
Which cards will get the foil treatment? You've already seen a couple of
them as sneak previews – Odo
and William T. Riker
are among the 18 – and today we've got one more to show you. Crosis,
Fanatical Lieutenant is a Non-aligned Borg who just might encourage you
to consider using more than a few of the many Events in Necessary Evil.
And, he could turn up in either normal or foiled guise in your booster pack!
When we begin daily card posting next week, we'll indicate on the list
which cards will be available as foils.
